| Give him some time. Right out of high school I had absolutely no desire to go back to school. Wasn't really sure what field I wanted to be in and was not going to be "that guy" that has been on campus for 6 years still working on the first degree. Didn't really say I would never go back, just didn't want any more school at the moment. Got a good paying job in construction that I hated. Ran my own business, did a little work on the side for some neighbors here and there. Travelled many different places doing a few different things, learned a lot about life, met lots of knew people and made a few more friends along the way. Had a great time and wouldn't trade it for the world.
Almost 4 years later, care to guess what I am doing now? Yep, back in school.
If I had to go back and do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Life will happen, don't rush into anything now.
