I think we need to be aware of the numbers and GRADUALLY shift to where we want to go.

Single-minded selection (such as for size only) seems to get breeds and cattlemen into trouble.

But if we don't have a goal in mind and collect data to measure where we are and where we are going, we just flounder around.

Again, just food for thought. I didn't mean to start anything here, just relating what I have been thinking and done the last couple days.
