What Jim is doing is correct assuming he has decided to cull these 3. The question is what are the additional cost and additional revenues for waiting to cull the cows.Selling the culls now and selling them later is a wash. The only question them becomes what are the cost to get to May and what is the calf worth then.I think you can make the case that the cull value may go up because time of year and early weaning in the summer may make sense in some cases.
