New Mexico
"cowboy" cows lately.

Generally young horned, P 2's...cows weighing 950 to 1,050 come in with calves weighing 650 to 7.

Calves off em are costing say $103 to 105 cwt and the moms are in the $550 to 700 range.

Had a great set of those cows which were 3 to 4 year old BWF's last week...and the cows cost $565, P 2's, nice horns on every one of em.

If the accessories ( horns ) bother you, simply band em with the calicrate and they fall off in 30 days to 6 weeks.

The ranch the afore went too...rough country, the more horns on those cows the better.
