SE IL | First off kudos to you and your family. This is not easy. I speak from experience. Maybe you don't know what he is interested in/good at but it would help in recommending a career/degree path for him. Around here finding a good farm employee is a challenge. The local fert dealers have the same problem. One of the local JC's has a program with the local coop where you are pretty much guaranteed a job when you finish. I think there are many careers in ag that are going begging for good candidates so you/he need to figure out what he could be interested in/good at and go from there. You might talk with some prospective employers and see what they would like for him to have education wise. I think if someone is good at something and willing to adapt and embrace change they will always have a job. | |
