Menards sells a 4" pvc backwater valve for around $40, you could put that at the red and blue joint like you said. It wouldn't have to be in sealed pipe as long as that area does not flood, I'd have at least 10' of solid PVC and pack the soil tight. Best would be to have a surface inlet on the downhill side of the check valve that would serve as a relief if the water did get that high it wouldn't blow out the soil. You could also plumb in a 1 1/2" or 2" line and hook a sump pump into your low spot and pump to the other side of the check valve, that's not unusual for field drainage.
