Amherst WI | Yes, I am probably down 35% from my peak acres and I am not too upset about it since it was marginally profitable land.
Once I got out of the always grow mindset life got a lot easier. Didn't need much if any operating loan, machinery lasted longer than the payments, and I could keep a better eye on things.
If good land became available within a reasonable distance to home I would be interested, but if I got that I would probably cut a low profitability farm at the same time. | |
