Sheridan Mi | That's what happened with me. When I wanted to quit milking, the older boy was in college. The younger boy milked with me for a few years after he graduated high school, but he wanted to do something else. The older boy came back and got a job close to home. With the dairy cows gone, he decided farming wasn't what drove him off, it was milking cows that he didn't want to do. He's got a few cows now and bought 80 acres from us. He and his wife built a new house on it. He wants to farm eventually, but unless he sells his business, he can't even farm at the level that I do now. | |
