I am assuming you are referring to equipment with zero basis? I would be keeping some equipment, but I am looking to shave about 30% of my acres off the operation. Basically cut the rental farms out and keep the owned ground. I have heard of charitable remainder trusts for equipment sale proceeds but haven't looked too deeply into it yet.
Anyone downsize their farm operation? How did it go?
