Eastern Ontario, Canada | First I'd have to ask how old your kids are. many people say the same as you when their kids are still teenagers. lots of kids go off and work elsewhere and by 25 realize they would rather be farming, but the farm had been sold by then or downsized like you are suggesting. just a thought to consider. and I only say it because I was kind of one of those kids. although I did work and enjoy the farm while working off farm. it always interested me but i didn't think it was financially possible until I realized it was in my mid 20's. sure glad the older generation didn't sell out before i was ready to "come home" | |
