| Many operations have what can be called an "unfair competitive advantage." Something unique about you or your opertation that can be overlooked if focus on the group think that often comes from land grant colleges, breed associations, etc. Could be a son that loves working in the shop that keeps equipment costs down, or a physical feature unique to your property or region. Cornstalks in the midwest come to mind. Here we have a large chunk of river-creek bottom land with year around live water and great natural protection. It is embarrassing to say how long I calved in barns, in the winter, thinking I had to be there for every calf that was born.
