Ottawa, Ontario | +1. The wait times in Canada are an absolute joke and good luck trying to find a GP after yours retires. None are accepting new patients. Takes weeks for the kids to see a pediatrician and months/years to see any sort of a specialist. There is no comparison in terms of the quality and accessibility of healthcare we've received since moving to the US. Since we moved here, we've also had to do ER visits for one of the kids in Canada while on a visit and once to the local ER here. Wait time at the ER in Canada - 6hrs; US - 30min (and the bill for the visit in the US was half what we paid in Canada). | |
