Ripley, Ontario Canada | The system works reasonably well. It is funded out of general taxes for the most part with some provinces having a tax that is supposed to be directly for health care. I am satisfied. If you show up at a hospital sick you get treated and carry on. If you need immediate care you get it as fast as it is available. You want a new knee you will wait a while because it’s not urgent
Most of our system is actually private doctors billing the public system. Each family doctor runs a small business much like a farmer would just the vast majority of their sales are to the public system. If it is a medically proven treatment and your dr thinks it will work you are next in line. | |
