Subject: RE: Sickle bar or rotary

German Valley, IL
If you are looking at SPwindrowers don't be scared of a sickle. WE run a deere 4895 and can run 7-8 mph no problem we put new sickles in every 2 crops and readjust the guards every day , only takes a couple minutes. We have been told that on the 2-3 and the cuttings when it is dry the rotary will suck up a lot of ash. Don't get me wrong we will probably get a rotary the next time we trade because of the speed.
