SW Idaho | Several years ago I sold my alfalfa standing and the buyer pulled in with a rotary. My crop is heavier the the average and I took one look at the job it was doing, the dealer was in field also, and told them to take a hike. Never wanted to see a rotary on my farm again. Chopped hay is suppose to be in the truck not laying on the ground.
Anyway this year the guy next to me bought a john puke and I stopped to look as they were setting it up. After I got my words in and they made the changes the thing was doing a pretty good job. He cut my hay and I was satisfied. Boy can they move. That was the problem with his field it was rough but when they got to mine it was like driving on glass and he could fly and it was not recutting the hay several times. | |
