I'm not understanding the issue with rotting wood. Maybe different building practices, different lumber, different foam, or something. There is no possibility of condensation as it is fully adhered. As far as a leaky fastener, 99% of the time, the foam will prevent the leak from penetrating to the wood. Are the fasteners on the ridges like they are supposed to be? The foam will seal the air space between the metal and the lumber on the ridges. One possibility I'm thinking might be if the lumber was wet to begin with, maybe not cured yet. I'll take some pictures next week and post them on here. Maybe then you'll see what I mean by fully adhered.

99% of foam is not fire proof. It will burn just like fiberglass. The foam that is fire resistant is very expensive. Cellulose is the most fire resistant when comparing the 3 types of insulation.
