Southeast MN | Not really what you are asking for because of the circumstances. I have one 5 acre patch that has been notill continuous corn since 99. The two sets of coulters on my planter for dry fert and 28% create a nice 'zone' and the trash whippers clear a dark path. I can't say I'm giving up yield on it because the deer hammer it hard but once it gets to be a certain size, they don't bother it too much. Beans in that field are never worth cutting, deer eat them all season long so I switched to corn.
On some steeper ground I notill corn 3 years, then one beans and the 3rd year corn is pretty good. Not my best ground anyway but it is building organic matter. I have learned to plant those fields later in the day when the dew is long gone. Damp trash doesn't flow through the planter very well. Some muskrat houses I built are visible on my fsa photos, ugh.
