Residue management would be high on the list. I would agree in keeping the same field in continuous corn. It seems to me that once you get past the 2nd year 'penalty' yields tend to improve

If you are tilling, disk it then hit it with the chisel plow.

Find out what hybrids are good against diplodia, gibberella and gray leaf spot.

Side dressing nitrogen is a plus if you have the time to cover the acres.
