Subject: RE: Flying on wheat question...

Most of the aerial applicators seem to be territorial meaning they only want to work out of their home airports. Allen Chorman and Son 302-684-2770 is an applicator who has bought out a bunch of other applicators and covers the entire Delmarva. There is also Tri-State Aero, Inc. 304-263-6627 from Martinsburg, WV on my list but I don't know anything about them. An outfit from North Carolina, which I can't remember the name of, was up here last year looking for work but it must not have worked out as they aren't here this year. For some it doesn't seem to be a big deal to fly out of a distant location so long as they can find a cooperative local airport. I guess it depends on how hungry they are for work.
