Your right in trying the 12 row. I had a neighbor park there 8 row and run only the 12 row in down corn. If memory serves me right they had a reel for they 8 row head. I think difference was the 843 was tin and the 12?3 was plastic. I believe in there case it was popcorn that was pretty much flat.
