Not sure why you were not getting enough speed. I thought mine went faster than I needed at times and had to slow them down. My one motor was set up to drive the entire cone and beater assembly. I agree I did plenty of 1 way harvesting in 2000 also. N-S rows could go both ways if you started on the side the wind came from. The E-W rows were one way starting on the end opposite the direction the wind came. with me being a one man show harvesting and hauling and going in just 1 direction is an agonizingly slow process. Patience and safety are very important as the frustration level can be pretty significant at times. First picture is from 2000 the last 2 are from 2002
