Subject: RE: Corn head size on Downed Corn?

Thank you all for your opinions. I went out and looked at my corn again and at least the roots are still attached but areas the size of pickups are flat enough that the ear is a knee level and in the standing stuff about every third plant is leaning aross the row. This stuff was very healthy and 9 ft tall before the wind so I guess I will wing it and see what happens. I am thinking about just going with the 12 row head and one of the crop assist attachments and hope that by going wider I will save more corn and be less impatient with slow ground speed than I would with fewer rows at a slow ground speed.
