Subject: tall fescue. 15-20" spacing. You might tell me.

Pofarmer I really dont know just yet what fertilizer I'll need. It'll be for planting several crops, but the main one I need to try this on is tall fescue. In fact I'm going to "try", and I'm likely getting inover my head for the first attempt at this, but I want to plant the grass this fall behind sweet corn. I'll be putting down a band of carbon/charcoal over the row too. So I may need some sort of row cleaner as well.

In order to make this work behind the corn, I'll be planting at a slight angle to the corn rows. I will be shredding the stalks as well as I can first with a flail shredder. I dont have a drill yet. I've been looking for a while and just now been talking on the phone to a few dealers and such. I think the 1890 deere is sort of what I need only not so wide. I have been looking at the great plains 3n3010. It looks like a good machine, but the gangs are not far enough apart in my opinion. Is there something else in this sort of desgn style that I should be looking at?
