New Mexico | Your weaning time w May thru June calfers is Oct thru maybe 1st part of Nov and you can generally wean on grass then too. They'll weigh 450 to 5 unless your running darn poor cattle. Calf say end of July thru mid Sept and wean bout Dec 10the and they'll weigh 425. BOTH the afore use less fed feed than your using now. The May thru June deal is perhaps the best for net $ profit. btw Why background em? Heck calves off cows up there bring more than Everywhere else. ALOT more. Just sell em and run more cows.
