“These are the times that try men's souls.” | I would move my calving season back to May/ June if I could. But My ranges won't allow it. We have to be off them in early spring, so we start calving in the first of March. Even if I held it up for two weeks, it throws a kink in the program. I do know that all the labor you can cut out, the more profit you will make. Calving later will do that, also provide healthier calves. They should do it all unassisted, no worry's.
Also the thoughts of hitting a different market time with calves should be a boost to help income side.
