Half y'all are nuts and the other half are full of crap trying to get more cash. Some of these numbers make no sense at all. Run your business accordingly and look for opportunities is my advice.
I lost confidence in our industry tonight.
Signs of farmers being short of cash, was showing up last summer. Chemical bills that were sent out after fungiicide was done, very little got paid until after harvest. Talked to others that had the same thing happen. One of two things created this situation, the LOC was maxed out or they didn't have the cash. Way things were last summer and way the situation looks currently with $3-$500 per acre less revenue vs what farmers were able to sell corn and beans for a year ago. A year from now looks to be ugly. |
