EC SoDak | Typically, in more stable times, I shoot for 10-30% hedged by the end of summer for the following year’s crop depending on outlook. For 24, I targeted 70% because history and poor demand suggested prices would drop. With the change in my crop, as y’all seen in another thread, I went from 70-80% Dec 24 hedged to in the 30s. Due to that, I’m starting to really dig in on data to see how I want to handle hedging going forward. | |
