| I’ve never had my banker give me any names nor do I know who he does business with. However, I do appreciate communication on how the financial health is in the industry. He speaks in generalities. The storm clouds were forming last fall, when the local grain merchandiser made the comment that they set a record for DP crops delivered. They actually quit offering DP and went to contract only towards the end of the season. Their cash bid closed today in the high $3’s, and after storage charges, some of those contracts are staring at the mid $3’s. | |
