The biggest advantage to RTK is that it ensures pass-to-pass accuracy year after year, whereas XP/HP can obtain drift from the sattelites moving over time. You can nudge yourself back on-line, and get extremely close, but with RTK and a base station you shouldn't have to worry about it. Also, a big advantage to RTK is for those that are strip-tilling, or implementing tram-lines on their acres. It is also valuable for spraying to reduce overlap and gaps, but the 2" difference between XP/HP and RTK is negligible.
