Look to Europe for where we’re headed. Is anyone really positive on N. American agriculture? Give the S. Americans 25 more years to build infrastructure and it will be lights out up here.

In that same 25 years there are projected to be about 2 billon more mouths to feed.

We might both be around in 25 years. I'll take the under on that projection, by about 800 million.

(Current world population is estimated at 8.1 billion. 2 billion more is 10.1 billion. Current birthrates suggest that we top out below 9.5 billion. I'll guess that birthrates continue to drop, and that global population peaks out at 9.3 billion or less. If that happens, population will be dropping fast by 2080ish.)
