| not going to say there are not any like that around but many of the younger farmers around here hold another job too, whether factory, trucking, teaching, construction. Don't see much shiny paint on their operations. These are not your big operations--1000's of acres more like 100's of acres. Trying to make a go of it because that is what they want to do. Guess you would probably say they are hobby farmers, just get out of the way and let the acre men take over, right? Will give you one point: there has to be the ground available to start. | |
