I have a young son that is very driven and hard worker. Absolutely loves the farm. It's his passion and true love just like his dad. But if I'm honest idk if I want him to struggle his whole life. Lots of us don't want to admit it but it's very obvious things are going to only get tougher going forward with chemical restrictions, water restrictions in irrigated areas, amount of capital needed now vs even 5 yrs ago and it's not going to get better.
To stay in this business you have to truly be born with that gene and love it with every ounce of yr heart to stay with it. | |
