Southwestern Minnesota | My chronic sinus problems were diagnosed with a CT. I have a deviated septum that is the main cause of the problems. I have not had it surgically corrected, but am much more aggressive about keeping the congestion down the best I can with the nasal rinse when needed, Zyrtec and a steroid nasal spray daily, good filters in the furnace and an air purifier. I also sleep with a wedge under my pillow to keep my head elevated at night. Most of the time I can keep it under control.
My son had similar problems and also had a CT. Not only did he have a deviated septum, but also a spur. He did have those things surgically corrected and has had no real problems since. It's not a fun surgery, but he was glad it he had it done.
