Maybe you have good contracts/contacts as you have stated.There are areas that are always truck short,,if in that area you may make it work.Here way too few loads out for drivers whom wanted to be home,, Sundays/Mondays out of Maine are below the cost of operation.Having several trucks for 20 years ,,I saw it all,,well almost,,hehe.Drivers is an issue and all contacts belong to brokers,,taking all the profit..Your good guys will age out,,then you have ring meats.One driver drove thru a Mcdonalds for coffee,,One driver cut truck in half with a train,,One driver got hit in NJ,,tow bill was 35,000$,,,1 mile,only trailer axle hit.Drivers will try to scam you six ways of Sunday. I carried a gun for my protection,,
