southern Alberta | we had one in a 700 Versy, no turbo. At about 3500 hrs it was getting tired. We looked at putting a L 10 into the tractor. At the time we could buy a new L10 crate engine from Cummins for $16000. But, some dealer decided he really wanted that tractor for some strange reason, so we did not argue just forked out $ 20000 for a 4 yr newer and 1500 hr less 835. I still don't know why the salesman loved that 700 so much, but we came out ahead on that deal. I used that 835 till 4500 hrs and sold it cash for $30000. Put in a new turbo and a rear crown/pinion in those hours. On the repower, a 5.9 should have enough grunt as to wether it would fit into the frame????? | |
