I think the turbo version of the 555 had a lot more problems with broken cranks. I know some 555 Versatiles were repowered with the 8.3L Cummins but I don't know if you have enough room for that in the spreader you are looking at. I ran a the natural aspirated 555 in a tractor for quite a few years until it started getting antifreeze in the oil over winter. Engine started and ran fine but at 6400 hours on the one you are looking at I would be thinking you might be on borrowed time.
