It happens in other proffessions as well. Law firms and Doctor's offices are alwasy having people coming and going. Farming is different to the point that you spend alot more time working together. It is easier to get upset if you are out their digging the soybeans out of the plugged combine and the other partner is at the football game or whatever. Same goes for your spouse. If they see you out there working and your partner/family member and their spouse are doing something fun it doesn't take long and they are mad. Partnerships can work very well with the right people. You have to be willing to give some and take some. A partnership should have written agreements on division of labor, and profits. Just because we start out as friends don't mean we end up as friends when that happens we want a plan on the division of assets, debts etc.
