Fruita CO | -of my customers-squirrel called me when it was about 20 degrees out & a foot of snow. said his 6600 stopped, clutches were slipping, all sorts of bad things. I asked if it was frozen up, he said he didn't think so...right...I went over to the machine, he was combining corn that had snow packed right in the ears. I crawled under & popped the rock door...thought I was gonna get buried in ice-cold corn. About 500 lb. gushed out...I dug out from under & looked in the back-the whole shoe, augers, everything was a solid mass of ice. I got in the truck, went back home & called him-told him it was iced up, & it was the guy that did it's job to clean it out...that dude finally went broke, & I really don't miss him a lot...I suspect he just waited until it thawed out & gave 'er hell.
