Subject: RE: any long term no-tillers?

Pulaski, TN
First shot at no till was 1968 with a Thrifty 2 row planter. We had no chemicals to speak of and had to pick the places to do this. In 1980 we bought a JD 7000 planter with no till attachments. Still not a good selection of chemicals out there to go full no till. In 1989 we went 100% no-till with a corn beans ratation. The only tillage done now is to disc corn stalks in order to sow wheat for hay. When you first start no-till you think you are messing up. Just keep no-tilling!!
