All of my fields are at least 4 years, most 5, some 32. Agree with everyone above, especially Russ. He says it like I see it. The longer it has been continuously notilled the less fertilizer it takes to grow a good crop here. I am amazed how low my fertilizer recommendations are from the soil tests I just took. Some call for no P and K or less than removal because of all the mineralization going on. Cover crops seem to really take it up a notch. My soils are so thin I cannot afford erosion.
