Year number 30 here. Long term no-til does funny things, esp with high levels of surface residue. The biggest single change I can see starts somewhere around year 7 or 8 and it is the N usage per unit of yield. Some of my long term no-til corn is now at 0.6# N per bu of corn, and probably the most impressive is the later maturing grasses(brome, esp), yields in "mature" stands(AKA over 8 years since in soil disturbance) are now reflective of N effecencies nearly the same. Penn State is saying 45-50 units N per ton expected yield, I am seeing 20-25 units N per actual yield.
