Subject: Re: Baler Fires Hank, in OR

Alberta, Canada
As I'm sure you've gathered, we try to move them immediately to storage, also w/ 53' trailers. Ocasionally we'll stack in-field, but only if we're racing rain. Since we stack right in the accumulator rows, it isn't too hard to do 100 bales an hour with one loader.

Stacked or not, with the accumulator it only takes 1 person per truck to haul out, which is usually done while I'm baling.

What do you use for handling the bales? We use 4x49" spears on our loaders, and even without a chamber restrictor it can sometimes be difficult to spear them all the way one at a time. Even unloading a truck 3 at a time, sometimes have to unload from either size so as not to push them off the other side. Was considering a Phiber grapple, but spears are so much faster.

What do you run in front of the balers?
Do you still have a 4x4 baler as well? What prompted the switch to 3x4s?
Sorry for all the questions, squares are a rare sight around here, I gotta learn from you guys online.
