We had a van at the shop a few years back, that the A/C compressor bearings had locked up. The engine wouldn't turn over. We just cut the belt, was all cracked, and it would start. I figured the engine was locked up, never thought that bearing being run by a belt would make it seem like it was locked up.
Can I swap a Chevy 454 for a 6.2 diesel?
