EC ND | We have a 1988 Chevy 3500 with the 6.2 diesel motor in it. The motor locked up on it this week. We also have a 1975 Chevy 1/2 ton with a 454 in it. The 1975 was rolled and totaled 10 years ago but the motor is still good. We have been trying to figure out if we can put the 454 into the newer pickup. We have heard all kinds of replies from "It should work well" to "there's no way it will work". I know that there will be wiring issues as there are more electronics on the newer truck. We are not scared of doing the work but we don't want to get the 454 in there and find out that it won't work. Does anyone have any experiences with it? Any advice? Thanks in advance!! | |
