Subject: 10-12,000 on gas burners

Pittsburg, Kansas

In all of our fairly late model to late model farm vehicles we run Mobil! synthetic and change oil and filter at 10 to 12 thousand miles or one year, whichever first. Got stuff with over 200,000 still running and not using oil.

Engines are not the same as they used to be (better fitting, less blowby, less crankcase dilution), oils are not the same as they used to be (better oils with better longer lasting additive packages), fuels are not the same as they used to be so why does oil change intervals have to be the same as they used to be?

John
