On a new F150 I dumped the factory fill at 2,700 miles. Installed Amsoil 0W-20 and ran it to 13,200 on the first fill. Oil tested it and it came back fine. The Iron score was higher than mid line but still within normal which would be understandable for slight cross contamination from the factory fill and an engine still breaking in.
BTW who the H--- wants to change oil every 3,000 any way. I got way too much other stuff to do.
