It could be the type cows you have too. Look at his cows and they look like easy keepers and you start feeding corn to a cow like his and I could see how you could get in trouble. Just a thought. My cows dont put the weight on as easy as his do and I dont like to feed heifers before calving. I had rather them want for a little and have a live calf and then feed them if possible.
