  Maybe the law is wrong and out dated in your area, but if there is no livestock (except in buildings or lots) and no pasture to speak of in your area why are you worried about it.

 

Because it only takes 1 guy with a few cattle and an attitude that they are my responsibility to buy or rent ground next to me to cause a lot of grief.

 

Right now the tenants of the pastures that border our ground are top notch.  They're not trying to starve their cows to death and they do a pretty decent job of maintaining fences. 

We might not be so lucky someday when someone else owns/rents those pastures. That is why it matters to me.
