Subject: RE: Iowa fence laws

West Texas

When I bought this farm the fences were down to non-existant. The neighboring propertys were in CRP or in heavy brush and just used for hunting. I tore out all the old fence and replaced 4 mile of fence. Only one of the neighbors on one side even offered to help pay for the material.  I now have good fences, my cows stay where they are supposed to and I know what kind of neighbors I have. Might add that the  other two landowners both live over a 100 miles away and I have never saw one of them. The other owns the 1/2 section behind me and he only show up during hunting season. That is also where all the hogs come from, but he will not allow hunting them on his property.
