This is all my opinion, you don't have to agree with me. Old houses are money pits. The plumbing is usually junk, the wiring is usually junk and the insulation is usually non-existant. There is NO possible way I would spend $80K + on fixing up a 100 yr old house, pretty sure I wouldn't spend much money moving a 50 yr old house that isn't exactly what I wanted either. Build the house you want and go overboard on insulation. |
